FEBRUARY – There is something so different about the feel of February. The days are getting longer and the birds respond with their muted calls, steadily escalating until a full dawn chorus erupts later in the spring. A month of soft purple mists, cool, peaceful
colours for design contrasted by the vibrant greens of the emerging leaves of Bluebells, Arums and Primroses in preparation for spring. But then there is often a sudden contrast of sparkling frost and snow, changing the world to a peaceful and silent landscape.

January – Light Emerging

Design Inspiration from the colours, plants and animals seen in January in Britain.

January – a time when the daylight hours start to slowly lengthen, the colours predominated with purples, husky pinks and low yellow lights of
winter. Ivy fruits and pine cones still in abundance and our regular garden birds such as the blue tit common visitors to our gardens seeking
wholesome food before the light fades on another short day.
Taking January as a source of inspiration, a range native species commonly seen, together with the familiar seasonal colour tones.
